Dave holds a design degree from the University of Michigan and spent his career in the design and printing industry. Alongside that, he's worked with paint his entire adult life — as a decorative home painter and fine artist.
That combination gives him a deep, practical understanding of paint: how it behaves, how it fails, and what it takes to make it last. He's found real joy in bringing kitchens back to life — turning tired, dated cabinets into something that looks brand new, without the cost or disruption of replacing them.
Our Process
Cabinet doors leave; your kitchen doesn't.
We remove your cabinet doors and drawer fronts and take them to our clean paint studio to sand and finish. You don't need to empty your cabinets, and we contain all dust on-site — your kitchen stays fully usable while we work.
A finish built to last, not just to look good on day one.
Rather than lacquer, we use paints that take longer to dry — because they hold up better over time. We also use a proprietary primer that bonds better than what's typically used, which, combined with our slower-drying paint, gives a stronger foundation for the finish.
Most vendors sand once before painting.
We sand between each coat, multiple times throughout the process. This extra prep is what allows the finish to expand and contract with your cabinets over the years, instead of cracking or chipping the way a rushed job can.
One-time touch-up.
Accidents happen — we offer a one-time touch-up of minor scratches from everyday mishaps within the first year after your project is completed.

• Fast-drying enamel instead of paint — enamel can't be touched up in small sections later, so any future chip or scratch means repainting the whole piece.
• Skipping prep and sanding — this is the step that determines whether paint actually bonds and lasts.
• Fewer, heavier coats — faster to apply, but it doesn't lay down the smooth, durable finish that more (thinner) coats do.
